NEKFGA Members,
Our club has lost two active members of NEKFGA this past week. Below are notifications of memorial events for both members. They will be greatly missed.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service at the Cornerstone United Methodist Church in South Ashland at 2 pm on Saturday November 2, 2024 for Gwen McKenzie with of NEKFGA Membership Chairman, Randy McKenzie. She was a strong supporter of NEKFGA in a variety of important ways. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and working with her. - Carl Beatty, NEKFGA Club President
NEKFGA lost an amazing member and friend Tuesday evening. Clinton Barnard passed away unexpectedly. Clinton’s hand was in a bit of everything at NEKFGA. Board, Maintenance, Division Development and Matches. He literally was attached to everything at NEKFGA. Whatever project he was involved with succeeded due to his leadership grit and determination. His drive, energy, and vision, are irreplaceable.
Please come to the PRS Practice this Saturday. We will be taking donations for his family.
RIP Clinton, your passing has left a deep hole at NEKFGA. You will be missed. - PRS Division
Shooting community, we need you more than ever!
As many of you know Clinton’s big rimfire steel challenge match is scheduled for November 2nd.
We lost one of the greats yesterday, Clinton himself. He made a lot of sacrifices in his life for the shooting community in our area and now it’s our time to give back to his family.
Please come out on November 2nd and participate in Clinton’s match. We will have food, prizes and different ways to raise money for his family.
Let’s come together and sling some lead for our friend Clinton. - Jordan Finfrock of our Steel Challenge Division.
REMINDER: New Member Orientations will be held TONIGHT at 6 pm and TOMORROW November 2, 2024 at noon. Please pass along this notice to anyone you might know that has an interest in the club.
